Tourism Seminar On Sikkim And Kerala

The Embassy of India, Beirut organized a seminar for promotion of tourism between India and Lebanon, focusing on Eco Tourism in North Eastern states of Sikkim and Meghalaya, on February 27, 2024. The Seminar was attended by Member of Parliament and President of Lebanese Indian Parliamentary Friendship Committee H.E. Mr. Ali Osseiran, Director General, Ministry of Tourism of Lebanon Ms.Rania Abdel Samad, President of ATTAL (Association for Tour Operators and Travel Agents of Lebanon) Mr Jean Aboud, President of ADLIR (Association for Development of Lebanon India Relations) Mr. Bernard Tanouri, officials of Chambers of Commerce, prominent Lebanese businessmen and top travel and tour operators in Lebanon. The Seminar was also virtually joined by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Tourism Departments of States of Sikkim and Meghalaya.

Ambassador of India Md. Noor Rahman Sheikh in his remarks spoke about the touristic sights in the North-East region and invited Lebanese tourists to visit and explore India. MP HE Ali Osseiran spoke about friendly relations of India and Lebanon. Ms Rania Abdel Samad of Ministry of Tourism, Mr Jean Aboud, President of ATTAL, Mr. Barnard Tannouri, President of ADLIR spoke about expanding tourism between both countries.
